| An eastbound unit coal train from Pardee to Clover, VA is just a few miles into its journey as it passes the "new" connection at Bopar. This was constructed after the NS merger, to facilitate movements between the former N&W and Interstate (Southern) mains. The train is on the former Interstate Miller Yard main, which now ends at Tacoma, where another connection with the N&W Clinch Valley District main was built (in 1983-84). |
