Bought by the CNW only a few days earlier, a pair of Ex N&W C628's, as yet not re-lettered or renumbered lead a train at Rice Lake. Power on this train consisted of N&W 1119, 1106 and CNW 936, one of the handful of big GE's on the CNW in the early 70's. Oddly enough the hi-nose Alco's with their rough riding tri-mounts are leading the lo-nose GE on this freight. Photo part of my collection, no photographer listed.
