Remarks & Notes |
UP 844 pulls the last couple miles of the grueling 2.2% grade from Kelso to the summit at Cima. From there, it's mostly all downhill the rest of the way into Vegas. With declining traffic and very sporadic operations starting in 2003 and getting progressively worse throughout the decade, it's a fair bet that this remote stretch of what was once UP's primary transcontinental mainline hasn't seen this level of foamer activity for a long, long time. |
