| A southbound unit coal train crawls upgrade at Blackwood, VA. This route was abandoned in 1986, but it's still in place--and owned by Norfolk Southern for several years. It appears unlikely it will ever see traffic again. The lead unit is an ex-Oro Dam Constructors (California) U25C the L&N picked up in the used unit market. |
