Remarks & Notes

Westbound B&O hotshot No. 397 was climbing up into Roddy's Sag, west of Glencoe, PA, late in the day on June 6, 1987. Roddy's Sag is a short reprieve from the climb up Sand Patch Grade. Looking back, I see how rough the power looked early in the CSX era.
