Remarks & Notes
Climber Train: Two locomotive EMD G12 continuous route to Potrerillos with acid train, in the middle of the Andes mountain. The ascent from Montandon to Potrerillos, with a steep slope and next to endless abyss, make this railway section in one of the most spectacular, difficult and dangerous of the world. A derailment or other accident in this area is fatal, the train climbs to 5 km/hr so I could photograph it, then ran and reached it, I was on a mountain in front. In the construction of this railway, many workers died, including the Engineer Montandon, one of the leaders in the work. Therefore, the last station and the ascent to Potrerillos, received its name.
