| After the WC bought the FRV/GBW they inherited a rather diverse group of units in the takeover. The ex GBW Alcos were parked ASAP and the FRV GP7/9/30/35's along with the pair of SD24's and single SD35 were folded into the WC fleet. To say the WC was a bit underwhelmed with the performance of some of these units was an understatement. Before the merger FRV power was fairly common on the PRANA/ANPRA trains that ran north of Green Bay. This continued after the WC takeover and no doubt the WC was more than happy to hand the CNW a few of these problem children. Here we have ANPRA heading out of Powers with Ex CNW/FRV 4159,4151 leading the way. |
