Remarks & Notes
The era of steam on the Long Island was nearing an end and it was occasion to invite railfans including John and his railfan companion Bill Rosenberg onto the property. Engine #28 goes for a spin as fans go along for the ride. Some dressed in coat and tie and others, such as the young lady with her back to the camera, wore blue jeans with the cuffs rolled up. Want to climb up to the cab and hangout? No problem. LIRR Class G5s.
