| Remarks & Notes |
| An FXE trio leads a San Antonio-bound auto train south on the Union Pacific Choctaw Subdivision. The train is leaving Tioga, Texas and crossing Ray Roberts Lake. "Tioga" is an Indian word that means "swift current" or "fair and beautiful". Urban legend has it that Tioga was originally settled because of its healing mineral waters. As the story goes, a train stopped in the spot where Tioga now stands and the men who drank the water there later expounded upon its healing properties, leading to the founding of the town. Also, "The Singing Cowboy" Gene Autry was born near here and worked as a telegrapher for the St. Louis–San Francisco Railway prior to becoming famous. |
