| From a few thousand feet above the ground, it's difficult to tell where the Great Salt Lake ends and the horizon begins. One of three work trains dumping rock in a furious effort to win back the submerged railroad from a rising lake level, an SD45R/SD45T-2 slowly make their way across the Great Salt Lake fill near Lakeside in the summer of 1986, when battle with the lake was in full-swing. |
