| CNW 6730,6715,6707 rumble away from a lunch break at Little Lake with 115 loads. Some jointed rail still remained on the ore line at the time, but it was soon replaced with ribbon rail which smoothed the ride and made the trips from Escanaba to the mines go a little quicker. The big C628's had worked Upper Michigan since 1975 and by this point the crews had made peace with their high noses and rough riding tri-mounts . Nothing was ever better at moving the ore trains on the CNW ore lines. |
