| Westbound at Frostburg. With her throttle still open, Western Maryland 734 approaches the city of Frostburg, looking as if she's not about to stop anytime soon. Seventy years ago, this train might have continued on, all the way to Connellsville, PA. Unfortunately today, the tracks end just a few hundred yards to the west of this location, where the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad, has its depot and an old turntable that once operated in front of the roundhouse in Elkins, WV. |
