| With 1809 (now minus its Christmas Train decor) leading, 698 races south along beside Siding Lake at Martins. With the temperature at -28C (~-18.5F) when I woke up this morning I felt confident enough that the ice on the lake would support my 230 lbs to venture out for this wider perspective. While standing out there waiting for the train I warmed myself up with the thought that a mere 6 months from now I could be fishing for pike from this exact spot, albeit from my boat! |
