| With just another year or so left in its career, late-model Alco S4 1829 works the west end of the jointly-owned OUR&D Ogden yard on a pleasant February Saturday. I remember this day because my dad, always looking for a bargain, drove up from Salt Lake City to get a new set of tires in Riverdale. He dropped me off at the yard to take photos--you did that with 14 year-olds back then--and I ended up riding around with another railfan through the downtown yard, avoiding the much-feared OUR&D special agents and making quick shots out the car window. |
