| At New York Susquehanna & Western's MC Yard in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey, is a four unit set of 6-axle power making up a train to head north later on the evening of December 29, 2011. Three-fourths of the power is leased power (from CEFX), with the only "home road" unit the trailing unit - NYS&W SD40T-2 3014 (ex-Southern Pacific 8321). Fortunately for the railfans present this day, a front-uncoupled shot was possible before the power backed on to its train. Interestingly for this southern California native, three of the units were former SP engines, as both the blue SD45s were as well. |
