| BN and Soo were the shinning stars of mid-west railroading in the 70's, most of the other lines were suffering through losses of traffic, bankruptcy, and massive abandonment. BN presented a rather profitable appearance with modern units, fast track and heavy traffic. This shot at N. La Crosse has 6500, 6594, 5675, and 5639 leading an eastbound manifest. |
