| In sweet light, Q249 rounds the bend exiting the western portal of Carothers Tunnel. As part of the National Gateway project, work continues on the entire Magnolia Cutoff with track work, signal replacements, and tunnel work. A senior train master, who was checking up on the work sites, informed us that all work on the cutoff was slated to be completed by September 2012. |
