Remarks & Notes
I don't know if this was in fact the last steam run on Ferrovias (formerly Fegua and IRCA), but it is the last I am aware of. No. 202 hauled our train from Zacapa to Guatemala City. While it was nice to be in Guatemala again, and nice to ride behind steam over this incredibly spectacular line, it was sad to see how decrepit the line had become, and how dim the future was for this wonderful railroad. Ferrovias had relettered the engine "FIdeCA" (Ferrocarriles Internacionales de Centro America) for this historic trip. The railroad ceased all operation in September 2007.
