Remarks & Notes
A view from the coal dock at East Altoona reveals a passenger train, powered by a EP40,on the main line westward to the Altoona station. The dead steam in the foreground will probably never run again. John had permission from a high-up in the PRR to roam East Altoona, not often accessable to railfans. He even had a police escort! This is one of 16 photos taken that day now uploaded to GodfatherRails.com
