At sunset on the day after Thanksgiving, the apartment buildings on Manhattan's Upper East Side provide the backdrop for a Q local train bound for Ditmars Boulevard in Queens, as it climbs the grade from the 60th Street tunnel to its station stop at Queensboro Plaza.
