| Remarks & Notes |
| Big-time action at Gilluly siding in the heyday of traffic following the SP-Rio Grande merger. The dispatcher has his hands full, and is no doubt watching this three-way meet unfold on his video display at the Denver dispatching offices. Taking advantage of bi-directional two main track and the center siding at Gilluly, an eastbound drag freight has held on the Number One main track (far right) to allow a westbound auto rack train descending that same main to slip through the center siding as a heavy westbound coal drag descends the 2.2% grade on the Number Two main, on the far right, seen in a composite view in October 1994. The vehicle train will later get around the slower coal drag before the bottom of the grade at Castilla. |
