Its a blustery and cool May evening in Lincoln, NE as a DPU on a westbound empty coal train idles near the Lincoln Terminal Yard Office as seen from the Yard Tower. Soon this train, and the other empty trains seen in the distance, will be rolling westbound toward the Powder River Basin for another load of coal. This birds eye view provides the terminal staff a good perspective as they keep the busy terminal fluid. On this day, over 90 trains passed through the Lincoln terminal in a 24 hour period but for these folks it was 'just another day at the office' in the heart of the modern BNSF empire. Taken on BNSF property with permission.
