| Remarks & Notes |
| THIS is a what a shortline railroad should look like: four matched high-hood early geeps with a good-sized train behind them. Montana Western's daily Silver Bow-Garrison interchange train for Burlington Northern nears Deer Lodge on former Northern Pacific trackage behind locomotives once employed on the Butte, Anaconda & Pacific: GP's 107/106/105/103. It's May, but winter isn't over yet, as a storm closes in behind them. |
