| A 2-unit Swiss-built cog railcar waits on the main for two uphill trains, the first of which has passed and second of which I am riding. Windy Point is 12,129 feet above sea level, and let there be no doubt that it was aptly named! Near the upper left corner of the image you can see the very steep grade of this line continuing up toward the summit. Part of the summit weather station can also be seen. |
