Remarks & Notes
Delaware & Hudson's sharp pair of Baldwin RF16 sharknose diesels take a break at Whitehall. These two units began life as part of the New York Central's fleet delivered between 12/51 and 2/52. They would go on to work on the Monongahela, where they ended their careers destined for scrap. They were rescued by the Delaware & Hudson, and provided some great years for railfans. They then went to Castolite and then Michigan Northern, before finally landing at Escanaba & Lake Superior. Today, they are stored in a warehouse, unviewable by the public.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
