Southbound RF&P TOFC hotshot No. 175 was leaning into the curve at Daffan, VA on a warm Sept. 11, 1982 as it dug in for the climb up Leeland Hill. Back in those days, RF&P kept the vegetation back from the right of way and shots like this were possible. Today, it is a tree tunnel and the shot unfortunately isn't possible.
