A pair of recent arrivals are pictured at Heber Valley Railroad's yard. A Utah Railway spreader, #0100 was part of an exchange with the Genesee & Wyoming. The HVRR traded a former Missouri Pacific caboose in exchange for the spreader, shipped via truck from Martin. D&RGW caboose 01418 was acquired from a private owner in Spanish Fork, trucked to Heber City. The plan is to restore the caboose to its 1950's Aspen Gold and silver four stripe livery. The 01418 will look right at home on former D&RGW rails while the 0100 will be put to work clearing the right of way for passenger trains and freight charters during the winter months.
