Remarks & Notes |
Living on borrowed time and the last of its kind, 1804 is the last LS&I RSD-12 known to be left unscrapped in the United States, it is also one of only two LS&I Alco's in exsistance, and one of only two ex-LS&I engines to still wear the original green paint scheme. Purchased for its Alco power plant to be put into a Great Lakes Tug, the 1804 is scheduled to be scrapped within the very near future, it was actually suppose to of been scrapped by this time of the summer but some luck was still on our side to capture this great piece of history before it ends up like so many other Alcos before it. |
