| What was once a very common sight in southern California is the citrus packing house, typified here by the Valdora Produce Company, located at the intersection of California and Barton in Bryn Mawr, California. Pacific Fruit Express mechanical refrigerators are being loaded for a trip east. By this date (January 31, 1978) packing houses were becoming increasingly rare, and even this example would soon be razed. On this site today sits yet another Arco gas station. |
