Originally CRR, then SCL these units always seemed to be an odd buy for the Clinchfield and anecdotal evidence is that they went to SCL because they were being damaged if they rocked at all inside N&W's tight Bull Hill tunnel where they operated on traffic rights. Note this is its old SCL number.
