Remarks & Notes |
A Union Pacific engineering special running from Salt Lake City to Denver heads east on former D&RGW rails through the Red Narrows of Spanish Fork Canyon. This sharp curve at milepost 673.75 was a favorite location to photograph the Rio Grande Zephyr and the Ford Fast, among others. Who would have predicted it would become the property of rival Union Pacific and host the world's largest operating diesel locomotive? |
