I've always liked the rounded roof edges on a caboose, here an N-8b, ex New Haven. The former Penn Central GP38-2 is a favorite engine model, one I associate with my childhood although obviously there were many different models running around back then.
Anyone got a shot of the tower, just east of this location, with the huge bay window? I do not, alas; what a dummy I was! EDIT: Having done a bit of research, I now know the tower was just west of this location, very close to the platforms, and there is one (partial) shot of it on RP, an old upload, #38187.
