Remarks & Notes
On a fine autumn day in 1987, D&RGW train 665 crosses the Payson trestle with a trainload of Keigley dolomite for Geneva Steel of Utah. The wood pile bridge crosses both a local creek and Union Pacific's Provo Subdivision, 12.56 miles from the mainline junction at Springville. Engineer Glade Collard and Conductor Neal Thorpe enjoy an elevated view of Utah Valley from the cab of their trusty EMD GP30s.
