| This is the firing valve on Black Hills Central 2-6-6-2T 110, built by Baldwin in 1928 for the Weyerhauser Timber Company. Note that long ago, a lazy fireman cut a small notch in the side of the firebox door, permitting him to keep an eye on the fire without having to stand up and look into the peephole. |
