If a switchstand could tell its story, I certainly wouldn't mind hearing the tales this one could tell. A story of one of the busiest lumber mills in WV, of countless Shays treading soft overhead and of the heavier pounding from C&O locomotives. A tale of fires and floods, tourists and sightseers, and let's not forget those unpredictable, incomprehensible railfans that scramble around once a year vying for the perfect shot of the roaring engines. All the while, the switchstand watches, and serves its purpose in silent anonymity.
