| SLSTA ran Frisco #1522 on an excursion from St. Louis to Hannibal, MO in September of 2000. The St. Louis Steam Train Association Board of Directors made the decision to retire this beloved engine in 2002 citing rising insurance costs, limited mainline access and upcoming boiler work. Today, she sits on display (awaiting a third career) at the Museum of Transportation in St. Louis, MO. |
