CN is planning to tackle two major bridge projects with its 2011 budget, one being to replace an 1899-era swing-span bridge at mile 173.2, near Oshkosh, WI., on the Neenah Subdivision. Here the northbound signal is all red as the bridge is open for any river traffic. In about 10 minutes the RTC will close the bridge for M341 to pass northbound.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
