| Remarks & Notes |
| UP 7141 and an ex. Southern Pacific AC unit are struggling with this long and heavy westbound grain train as they round Arnold’s Loop on the Union Pacific's Shafter Sub in eastern Nevada. Two more AC units in DPU mode are pushing hard on the rear end. This is the ex. Western Pacific crossing of the Toano Range. The loop allowed the line to maintain a 1% gradient as it crossed Silver Zone Pass. 10,720’ Pilot Peak dominates the horizon from across the barren Pilot Valley. |
