Squatters
Between Callao and Lima, the right of way has been squatted for a long time. Poor people have built their dwellings just short of the main track. Although illegal, it is now a long established fact that the railroad will have difficulties gets rid of if needed. Of course, this situation requires driving trains slowly with a lot of caution.
