| Remarks & Notes |
| Savannah & Atlanta #750 has just completed the five mile run around Stone Mountain on a cold, damp, windy & very fog laden morning as she enters the newly rebuilt wye at the mountain's west end. This is certainly not a technically well executed slide, but likely as moody a scene as I have ever captured. This shot was hand-held with I believe no more than a 1/30th of a second exposure. Not ideal shooting conditions, but the mood more than makes up for the technical imperfections. Even if steam were running on the Atlanta to Stone Mountain Trips today, and these trips have not run at all for years now, this shot would be impossible as the wye area is now overgrown with tall Southern Pines.
