PTRA's North yard was the spot to find the most unusual and eclectic group of misfit engines that the railroads of Houston could scrounge up. Lashups/consists of every combination were the norm, and the rainbow didn't go away at night. With PTRA photo release in possesion, the night photo session finds MKT red 106, green 91, MP 1198 and the top of a BN GP20 barely visible inside the shops, all idling away the humid, aromatic night.
