| American Made! - A couple of classics of American Industrial might face off at the busy Boston St. crossing on the east side of Baltimore. The NS local is working its way down the Bear Creek Running track which NS shares with the CSXT and Canton Railroad. This running track is an ex Conrail line that sees heavy NS & CSXT coal trains destined for the Consol export terminal as well as myriad industry jobs heading for the Dundalk Marine Terminal. Rebuilt GP38s seem to be the motive power of choice on the NS in Baltimore because in addition to this pair (the 5601 & 5603) take a look at this shot for view of two different sisters facing off with Peterbilt's competition just a little further down the line. |
