There is one thing for certain. For its size, WM had some very diverse scenery, from the urban docks of Baltimore to the wooded hollows of West Virginia, and everything in between. On a hazy Nov. 2, 1975, WM GP7 No. 28 was running light through Port Covington Yard in Baltimore. From the looks of the grain in the yard and the waiting ships, grain traffic must have been good at the time.
