| Remarks & Notes |
| A northbound empty ARR coal train prepares to cross the Snow River, 15 miles north of Seward. This crew has deadheaded down from Anchorage and is taking the train back north to Anchorage where they will hand it over to a north end crew who will take it to load at Healy. Normally, this train might have six SD70s for the empty trip back to Anchorage but in this case, three SD70s were left behind in Seward to provide DPU power for a 7,000-foot northbound Seward-Anchorage freight which was following an hour or so behind this empty coal train. |
