Remarks & Notes

The splendid sight of 'mixed' freight trains are sadly long gone from the railways of Britain. Fortunately both locomotives and rolling stock still exist to make authentic and wonderful recreations as here on the Great Central Railway in Leicestershire. Former Great Western Railway heavy freight 2-8-0 No.3850 raised the hairs on the back of my neck with this stirring sight as she stormed under the pipe bridge at Kinchley Lane.
