Remarks & Notes
D&S 478 dressed as its old self DRGW 478 pulls a "Silverton Mixed" by what I call Rockwall, due to the shear cliff towering over the track on the narrow shelf. This is one of the more spectacular spots on the Silverton line. It is also known as "cement wall" for the cement retaining wall the DRGW built to keep the river from washing out the tracks during the almost annual spring floods. With the 1930's style DRGW lettering on the engine and tender, green coachs, and old style heralds on the freight cars, this was a nice looking circa 1930 DRGW mixed train. Fireman Mike Rael strikes a comfortable position for the runby.
