| A fitting finale. As the 2011 Willow Creek Productions Charter drew to a close, the D&RGW Mixed Train was brought to the most well-known spot on the line....the High Line Horseshoe at Rockwood. Here, the train did a series of run-bys, taking advantage of the late afternoon sun. Photographers fanned out for their last shots, some climbing high on the rocks, and others going for low angles. Here's a rare view of DRGW #478 and her train, as viewed from a rock shelf below the railroad grade. |
