"The Sierras are getting pounded! All eastbound traffic is stopped." -Dispatcher 57 and 74. That's what we were listening to all day over the radio. A large storm was dumping feet of snow up in the Sierras causing train traffic to come to a halt. Many eastbound trains spent hours sitting in Roseville and at Bowman waiting for a string of westbounds to slowly come off the hill. It was a nightmare type day for dispatcher 74. The fierce storm is seen here as we look at the DPU of the KOAMN. Some sun was starting to poke through in the valley but the Donner Pass Line still had very thick clouds looming above.
