| Remarks & Notes |
| Haulin' Hook A light snow envelops the desert landscape as Nevada Northern's colorful wreck train enters the mines district at Keystone. Directly behind the beefy Consolidation #93 is the line's 100-ton Steam Wrecking Crane A. The odd-looking red car trailing that is the crane's tool car. This car carries all manner of hand tools, extra cables, hooks, slings and other rigging equipment. It also acts as a spacer with the rest of the consist, allowing the massive derrick to swing unimpeded as the train negotiates curves. Rounding out this interesting consist are a flat, a ballast hopper, a 1912-vintage wooden box car, an 1872-vintage combine configured as an outfit car and a 1909-vintage wooden caboose. |
