| One of Amtrak's 40th Anniversary locomotives hustles through the night on the point of the eastbound Capitol Limited. The train is running wrong-main, dodging slower freights in an attempt to make up lost time. The last time I tried to take a night photo in Elyria was years ago, an attempt to shoot Amtrak's last westbound Pennsylvanian. I waited in the snow at night for at least four hours before I became too cold and gave up. Amtrak is still around and arguably doing better than ever, but some things never change. |
